As I continue to write a guide to San Antonio vacationing, I thought I would review hotels on the Riverwalk for out of towners looking for a luxurious, but money saving stay in downtown San Antonio. Below is a list of the top 8 downtown hotels in San Antonio on the Riverwalk.
Crowne Plaza- Singles & Doubles $169-$209. Antiquish feel to this Inn. Parking is expensive at $23/night. A little off the path of the Riverwalk. Very nice and friendly staff. 3.5 stars.
Watermark Hotel and Spa – $319-$469 double; $939 suite. Elegant rooms and right on the Riverwalk. Rooftop fitness center. Super comfort, excellent service. You’ll have a luxurious stay. 4.5 stars.
Drury Inn and Suites on the Riverwalk – $129-$164 double; $164-$199 suite. Reviewers left an overwhelming 4.5 stars. Excellent experience, large room, laundry, jacuzzi, free Internet. You’re going to enjoy your stay. Great location.
Omni Hotel – Great location and decor, but price eclipses the presented value. Overall guests were pleased with their stay citing the Omni as a romantic get-a-way type of place. Parking is very high at $29. Scattered unsatisfied stayers mentioned various problems. 4 stars.
The Menger Hotel – Historic hotel that provides ease of access to several sites and attractions in downtown San Antonio. The historic touch unfortunately dips into dated fixtures and furniture. 3.5 stars.
