How The Economy Affects You
San Antonio, this economy situation is real. Everyone is affected. You might be wondering how you are affected. Well, first of all, if you thought the job market was bad before, you haven’t seen anything yet. If you have a job, keep it because it might be awhile before you get another one. Very few companies will be hiring so stay at your current job even if you hate it because steady money – especially at your current salary will be hard to come by. Also, you will see more items and products on sale. Yes, this is good but it is also circular. These items are on sale because less people are spending which should give you a hint that you should tighten your budget as well.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best is how you should treat your money. You need to dramatically cut back on your luxury spending such as movies, restaurants, clothes, memberships, electronics, etc. Second, if you can you should find additional revenue streams with which to make money. For example, taking on side jobs such as car repairs or creating a new source of income by blogging can help bring additional money into your household. Another option may be attempting for a second formal job.

Wal-Mart Still Bustling
I did some grocery shopping at the Wal-Mart near the Sea World exit on highway 151 tonight. The effects of the recession weren’t overpowering as the isles were still crowded enough to necessitate navigating through traffic and letting other people by. However, I did detect a moderate deduction from its peak hours. Still, this was Sunday night at 8:30 pm so how many people could there be? The effects of the recession so far I’d say are a slight pullback but nothing major yet. Hmmm maybe people just haven’t been hit by an inevitable splash of the coming wave.
